The Searchers book review

The Searchers

The Searchers, A Quest For Faith In The Valley Of Doubt is a book written by Joseph Loconte and published by Thomas Nelson.

Description:
Never before had they known such hope.
In a world drenched in violence and oppression, here was a man armed with a message of peace and freedom. Into lives nearly overwhelmed by grief and sorrow, he brought compassion and healing and the deepest joy. To people who felt like outcasts and aliens, he showed the way home. And then, in one devastating night, all their hopes collapsed.
This is where our story begins—in the valley of despair. It is a tale of two friends, a stranger, and a search for truth in a world gone mad with doubt.
Historian Joseph Loconte unlocks the meaning of their exchange, set in the chaotic days following the execution of Jesus of Nazareth. Drawing from literature, film, philosophy, history, and politics, Loconte shows how this biblical drama is an integral part of our own story.
Sooner or later, we will find ourselves among the searchers.

The book didn't take me long to read, it wasn't a very long book, but the pages were filled with interesting turn by turn tales of the story of life after the crucifiction of Jesus. I am not a huge religious person, however I do have my beliefs, but do not try to push them off on others. Reading this book, it's similar to my standpoint. It doesn't attempt to lure the reader into any religious idea of what they should and should not believe.
In my opinion, this book shows no favoring, just the tale of Jesus and what developed into who we are today. I think this book is a true tale of the explicit pain that Jesus suffered to free us and show us love.

I did not receive any financial compensation for this. I did, however, receive free product for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
